Hydrant Flushing Program as of May 03, 2016
Posted Date: 10/17/2017
Fire hydrants are flushed as part of the City’s routine water system maintenance program to maintain water quality and regulatory compliance with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). Flushing hydrants helps keep water from stagnating, and sediment and minerals from collecting in water lines.
Hydrants are flushed in sections on a rotating basis. Maps of each section will be posted as the project progresses. As of November 6, 2017, City crews will be working in the area depicted in the attached map [PDF].
Starting on November 20, 2017, City crews will begin working in the area depicted in the attached map. [PDF]
