I-69 northbound switch over:

April 20, 2018: TXDOT will switch main lane traffic over to the new concrete feeder lanes between Spur 10 to SH 36  beginning Friday, April 20 at 8 PM and will go through early morning Saturday. This will close the crossover for FM 529 permanently. Acceleration lanes from Cottonwood and Bamore will be installed prior to the switch to assist with merging traffic onto these temporary main lanes.

Double left turn lane. I-69 SB frontage at SH 36:

April 12, 2018: TXDOT will be changing the signage to allow for double left turn lanes onto SH 36 from the I-69 southbound feeder road.

Bryan Road One-Way:

April 23, 2018: Hurtado Construction, has provided notification that Bryan Road will be limited to one-way westbound only traffic (toward FM2218) Monday, April 23rd to work on utility infrastructure associated with the Bryan Road widening Project.  Detours will be in place to approach Bryan from FM 2977 and also from Spacek Road. Updates will be provided as improvements are made.

FM 2218 and US 59 intersection closure:

April 9, 2018: William Brother’s is going to start construction of a temporary U-turn at FM 2218 and I-69 intersection (southbound frontage to northbound frontage). The U-turn needs to be in place prior to the Reading Road construction begins. It will require alternate lanes to be closed in both directions of FM 2218 and I-69 intersection. The construction of the U-turn will take 3 weeks to be built.

Cumings at Baker Road Rehab:

March 28, 2018: Starting next week Cumings will be closed from FM 723 to the City Limit Line so the road could be reconstructed.  This is part of the 2016 Memorial Day flood damage FEMA Project.  The road will be closed for about 4 weeks and a detour route will be set up to use Joerger Road.  City Staff has placed message signs on Cuming Road to alert the drivers of the upcoming road closure. Spacek Road closure:

February 28, 2018: TXDOT will close Spacek Road at I-69 northbound frontage road until Monday, April 2, 2018. This road is east of Reading Road at Brazos Town Center.

TXDOT US 90A at Lane Dr. construction activity:

(CANCELED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE) Angel Brothers will have a traffic switch Monday, April, 9th starting at 8:00 am. This will move the westbound lanes over to the temporary paving that was installed.

March 26, 2018: Alternating lane closure on 90A westbound main lanes between Monday, March 26 – Monday, April 2 from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. The limits are going to be from Wilson Drive in Rosenberg to FM 3155 in Richmond.

March 19, 2018: Alternate lane closure beginning , Tuesday, March 20, 2018 – Saturday, March 24, 2018 daily between the hours of 8:00 am – 3:00 pm on US 90A East Bound. The limits are going to be from Wilson Drive in Rosenberg to Union Street in Richmond. This work will consist of signal work FM 3155 ( Collins) and temporary asphalt detour installation between Wilson and Lane Dr.

March 16, 2018: Total closure from Pitts Rd to FM 359 daily from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, Friday, March 16 to Saturday, March 17. [MAP] From US-90A, take Harlem Road northbound towards Grand Parkway, turn left on Grand Parkway to Mason Road, turn left on Meson Road to FM 359, turn south onto FM 359 towards US 90A, turn right on US 90A westbound. No left turn at US90 A. From FM-359 northbound, take Mason Road towards Grand Parkway, turn right on Grand Parkway to Harlem Road, then turn right on Harlem Road to access US 90A.

March 10, 2018: There will be an alternate lane closure Thursday, March 15, 2018 a between the hours of 9:00 am – 3:00 pm on US 90A. The limits are from Wilson Drive in Rosenberg to Union Street in Richmond. This work will consist of signal work at Lane Dr and  FM 3155 (Collins) and temporary asphalt detour installation between Wilson and Lane Dr.

March 12, 2018: TXDOT will be switching traffic on Lane Dr at US 90A to the new asphalt detour. They will place temporary signals in use. This will take place on Monday, March 12,2018. Message Boards were placed out yesterday to advise the public of this switch.

February 27, 2018: There will be alternate lane closures Tuesday, February 27th through Friday, March 9, 2018 from 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM. The limits are going to be from Wilson Drive in Rosenberg to Union Street in Richmond. This work will consist of signal work at Lane Dr and  FM 3155 (Collins) and temporary asphalt detour installation between Wilson and Lane Dr.

TxDOT started the 90A bridge project on Monday February 19th, between Lane Drive in Rosenberg and Collins Drive (FM3155) in Richmond, to cross over the railroad and eliminate the underpass.  The Contractor is Angel Brothers and the project will take about three years to complete. Phase I is to realign Lane Drive at 90A.

Spur 10 at I-69 closed:

February 28, 2018: William Brothers is closing Spur 10 at US 59 on February 28 from 8:00 pm till 5:00 am.   The contractor has to restripe and demolish the bridge.   The demolition will not be over I-69 but on the railroad side. Click here for a map of the detour

Miller Road total closure:

February 15, 2018: William Brothers is going to close Miller Road located on I-69 southbound main lane for 2 weeks for repairs.

Kroesch Road bridge closure:

November 27, 2017: The Kroesch Road bridge is scheduled to close November 27, 2017 – 2019. This will allow for the new I-69 expansion to be built.

I-69 (US 59) entrance ramp before SH 36:

TXDOT has closed the northbound entrance ramp on I-69 (US 59) (right before SH 36) and will be closed for nearly a year. Traffic will be moved to the shoulder and the new ramp will be built in the next phase.

I-69 (US 59) frontage road between Isleib and Cottonwood Church Road:

January 26, 2017: The I-69 (US 59) frontage road between Isleib Road and Cottonwood Church Road will no longer be two-way traffic; the public will only be allowed to go north on the frontage road.

TXDOT will be closing the southbound, middle lane,  crossover at Cottonwood Church Road on 1-26-17 and it will remain closed until I-69 (US 59) main lanes are built in that area. As of now the northbound crossover for Spur 529 will remain open.

FM 529 and Junker Road closure:

March 6, 2017: Junker Road will be closed permanently beginning March 6, 2017. Union Pacific will be adding an additional railroad track to the existing two tracks. Since there will now be three tracks at the intersection of Junker Road and Spur 529, the trains could potentially cause further delays for drivers Union Pacific has decided to close the intersection permanently.
