A silver lining has emerged around the storm clouds that dampened the City’s July 4th festivities and ultimately cancelled the evening’s fireworks display. Although the City was not able to re-shoot in conjunction with the Independence Day holiday, the fireworks show has been rescheduled to coincide with the Fort Bend County Fair and Rodeo!
The fireworks display is scheduled to light up Rosenberg skies on Thursday, September 25, at approximately 8:30 p.m. The fireworks will be launched over Seabourne Creek Nature Park, the same location typically utilized for July 4th shows. The Park, although closed to vehicular traffic, will be open for fireworks show revelers.
For those planning on watching from the Park, parking will be available in the grass lot immediately south of the park entrance. In the event of hazardous weather, the fireworks will be cancelled indefinitely for 2014.
While the park will be open for the event, the gates to the park along Stanley Kucherka Drive and Fountains Drive will be closed from September 24 to September 26 for public safety.
If you’re in the Rosenberg area the evening of Thursday, September 25, turn your head to the skies and join us in saluting our great Nation as we help kick off the Fort Bend County Fair and Rodeo with a BANG! For more information on the fireworks display, call (832) 595-3520.
The Fort Bend County Fair and Rodeo will have a sneak peek night on Thursday evening as well – Fairground gates will be open with no admission charge, and discounts will be available on carnival armbands with a charitable donation!
