Bamore Road will close between Avenue H and Avenue I beginning as early as Monday, March 16, weather-permitting. The closure will allow the project contractor to reconstruct the asphalt paving section, and will last approximately two weeks, depending on the weather.
The work is related to the final phase of the Bamore Road Improvement Project which includes utility and paving improvements from Avenue K to Spur 529, with intersection reconstruction at Avenue J and Avenue K. Construction on the final phase of improvements is projected for completion this summer. The Bamore Road Improvement Project has been a multi-phase widening project to convert the existing two-lane asphalt roadway with open drainage ditches to a new concrete roadway consisting of three-lanes of concrete curb and gutter with improved drainage and sidewalks along the east side to Avenue I. From Avenue I to Spur 529, Bamore Road will be widened and reconstructed with asphalt.
Residents are asked to exercise caution in the area, and to observe all detour and caution signs. General project questions may be directed to Citizen Relations at (832) 595-3301.
