The City of Rosenberg’s contractor, Gonzalez Construction, will begin work this week on the final phase of the Bamore Road Improvement Project. The final phase will consist of utility and paving improvements from Avenue K to Spur 529, and will reconstruct the intersections at Avenue J and Avenue K. Construction on the final phase of improvements is projected for completion this summer.
The Bamore Road Improvement Project has been a multi-phase widening project to convert the existing two-lane asphalt roadway with open drainage ditches to a new concrete roadway consisting of three-lanes of concrete curb and gutter with improved drainage and sidewalks along the east side to Avenue I. From Avenue I to Spur 529, Bamore Road will be widened and reconstructed with asphalt.
Periodic lane closures will occur, with detour signage placed by the project contractor. Once paving improvements begin, traffic will be restricted to one-way, northbound through the duration of the work. Residents are asked to exercise caution in the area, and to observe all detour and caution signs. General project questions may be directed to Citizen Relations at (832) 595-3301.
