The 31st Annual National Night Out (NNO) will be held in Texas on Tuesday, October 7, 2014. Rosenberg will celebrate National Night Out via interactions with local police and fire personnel at neighborhood block parties, and the community-wide event at Brazos Town Center.
RPD hopes to make this year’s NNO the biggest and best ever in terms of neighborhood block parties, and to encourage this, is offering a chance to win a pizza party for each neighborhood block party registered with the Department by September 15.
“Our real focus this year is on partnering with the community to develop and organize neighborhood block parties,” said Rosenberg Assistant Police Chief Tracie Dunn. “We invite anyone who is interested in uniting with their neighbors to work with us to organize a NNO block party. We encourage anyone interested to contact us so that we can help them get started!”
Interested block party participants should complete the registration form available at here. For further information and resources to help organize a neighborhood party, including information on the Nextdoor tool for neighborhood organization, click here or contact the Rosenberg Police Department at (832) 595-3700.
In addition to neighborhood block parties, a community-wide National Night Out party will be held in the parking lot of Target at Brazos Town Center. The deadline for businesses to register with the Police Department for a spot that evening is also Monday, September 15. Businesses may do so by contacting Officer Michael Bradley at (832) 309-1161.
