The Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Division serves all City departments and citizen requests involving geographic data and mapping.

Responsibilities

The GIS Department responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Addressing
  • Digital and Print Cartographic Presentation
  • Data Analysis, Collection, Creation, Distribution, Maintenance, and Storage
  • Quality Control

Tools & Software

To aid in the achievement of these responsibilities the GIS department utilizes:

  • Enterprise level SQL database
  • Epson T7270D large format plotter with scanner
  • ESRI products such as:
    • ArcGIS for Desktop
    • ArcGIS for Server
    • ArcGIS Online
  • Trimble R2 GPS Antenna
  • Bad Elf GNSS Surveyor GPS Antenna
