The grant allowed us to build an Arboretum that transformed approximately 6 acres into a family-friendly educational space with native trees, new paths made of crushed granite, and picnic tables nestled along paths and under tree canopies.
Texas Master Naturalists
The Texas Master Naturalists are an active community of volunteers and enthusiasts who assist in maintaining the natural resources available in the wetlands of Seabourne Creek Park. They host many events and learning opportunities throughout the year such as nature walks and bird watching. They maintain prairie plots and habitat plots with pamphlets and informational signage to let the public know about plants and trees present in the park that support wildlife.
