Salaries

The City of Rosenberg strives to hire the best applicants to serve the citizens of Rosenberg. To do this, we offer competitive salaries to draw in the most elite applicants. The salary is outlined in the charts below. Salary figures reflect base pay and do not include overtime. Incentive pay is also not reflected in the charts below. Incentive Pay

In addition to a yearly salary, the city is committed to the employees’ success by offering additional monthly incentives to employees who enhance their knowledge and skills which benefit their position within the City of Rosenberg.

Certifications Incentive Pay:

Police Officer:

  • Advanced Peace Officer Certification – $300.00
  • Master Peace Officer Certification – $450.00

Dispatcher:

  • Intermediate TCOLE Certification – $150.00
  • Advanced TCOLE Certification – $300.00
  • Master TCOLE Certification – $450.00

Civilian Jailer:

  • Basic Proficiency Certification – $150.00
  • Intermediate Proficiency Certification $300.00
  • Advanced Proficiency Certification $450.00
  • Master Proficiency Certification $600.00

Position Incentive Pay:

  • Active Instructor – $50.00
  • Breath Alcohol Testing Operator $150.00
  • Active Field Training Officer $150.00
  • K-9 Investigator $150.00
  • School Resource Officer $150.00
  • Criminal Investigator $150.00
  • Traffic Investigator $150.00
  • Community Resource Officer $150.00

 

College Degree Incentive Pay:

  • Associate’s Degree $75.00
  • Bachelor’s Degree $125.00
  • Master’s Degree $200.00
  • Doctoral Degree $300.00

 

Bi-lingual Incentive Pay:

  • $50.00

 

What We Offer

  • 4 Day Work Week (10 Hour Shifts) Three days off a week.
  • Sunday – Wednesday or Wednesday – Saturday (All department personnel work on Wednesdays which is a designated training day for police personnel on alternating weeks).
  • Constant Officer TCOLE Training of Approximately 200+ hours annually.
  • Take Home Vehicle Program if you live within the ETJ (Eligible for this program after completing probationary period of one year of employment)..
  • Texas Municipal Retirement System  7% With 2-1 Match.
  • Health, Dental Insurance & Employee Assistance Program.
  • 80 hours of Vacation a year / Sick Leave Accruals / (2) Personal Holidays a year.
  • Can earn up to 3 days off depending results of the annual physical fitness test.
  • Uniforms / Equipment Provided With Annual Allowance.

 

Longevity Pay

Employees will also receive an annual payment of $5 per month of employment. Longevity payments are disseminated in December of each year.
