A message from John Maresh, City Manager:

All employees will return to normal work schedules effective Monday, May 11, 2020. At this time, city facilities will not be reopened to the public. All employees will need to either wash or sanitize their hands upon entering the facility and will be temperature screened upon arrival. Please make sure you continue to adhere to the social distancing order and maintain at least 6 feet from other employees. Please continue to clean and disinfect your work area. Employees will be required to wear a face mask while not at your desk. Face masks must adhere to the city’s dress code policy.

Beginning on Monday, May 11, 2020, employees will be allowed to submit requests for leave for time off, however the out-of-state travel restrictions previously set in place on March 17, 2020 will remain until further notice.

Staff should continue to limit in person meetings and interactions and utilize video teleconferencing, emails, and phones. Face to face meetings with employees should be limited to the smallest group size possible and if meeting in a room or facility, the 6 foot social distancing requirement must be adhered to and the room or facility capacity should not exceed 25% until further notice. There will continue to be no face to face meetings with the public at this time.

Due to a situational change, the memorandum set in place on April 29, 2020 has been rescinded. All employees will continue operating in the alternate work schedule until at least Friday, May 8. In addition, employees will not be able to submit leave requests until further notice. The current situation will be re-evaluated next week.

The City of Rosenberg is determined to keep our employees safe during this Coronavirus outbreak. In light of the recent order from Texas Governor Greg Abbott, all employees will return to normal work schedules effective Monday, May 4, 2020. At this time, city facilities will not be reopened to the public. All employees will need to either wash or sanitize their hands upon entering the facility and will be temperature screened upon arrival. Please make sure you continue to adhere to the social distancing order and maintain at least 6 feet from other employees. Please continue to clean and disinfect your work area. The use of face masks is permitted as long as it adheres to the city’s dress code policy.

In addition, the previous directive set in place regarding leave requests will be rescinded effective on Monday, May 4, 2020. Several City facilities will be closed to the public beginning Monday, March 23. All employees should report to work as scheduled.
