Glenmeadow Drainage Improvement CIP Project

Weather permitting, the City will begin improvements to the storm sewer system on Glenmeadow Drive Monday, May 20. The project is expected to last 90 days. Reading Road in Fort Bend County

The outside westbound lane of Reading Road at US 59/IH 69 will be closed on Friday, May 17 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

IH-69 in Fort Bend County – Overnight Closures Planned

Northbound frontage road at Reading Road in Rosenberg. Total closure. Closed overnight Friday, May 17  from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Saturday, May 18 and overnight from Sunday, May 19 from 9 a.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, May 20. Motorists with IH 69/US 59 North destinations will be detoured to Reading Road east to FM 2977, travel to FM 762. Turn left on FM 762, then utilize the IH 69/US 59 North connector ramp to US 59 northbound frontage road.

Reading Road in Fort Bend County

The outside westbound lane of Reading Road at US 59/IH 69 will be closed on Thursday, May 16 from 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Bryan Road traffic change

The Contractor plans to re-open Oakland Valley Drive at Bryan Road this Monday, May 13. This will become the primary point of entry to the Oaks of Rosenberg Subdivision when the entry from Walnut Glen at Spacek Road is closed for reconstruction on Monday, May 20.  Questions can be directed to Melissa Pena at 832-595-3590.

90A from Spencer to FM1952

Effective  June 3, 2019, US90A will be closed from Spencer Road to FM 1952 for bridge demolition and replacement of Cottonwood and Snake creek bridges. The estimated time is 90 days not including Sundays.

Ricefield Road Bridge

The reconstruction of Ricefield Road Bridge has been completed and is open to traffic.

IH-69 in Fort Bend County

Northbound frontage road at Reading Road in Rosenberg. Total closure. Closed overnight from 8:30 PM, Friday, May 3 to 5:00 AM, Saturday, May 4. Motorists with IH 69/US 59 North destinations will be detoured to Reading Road east to FM 2977, travel to FM 762. Turn left on FM 762, then utilize IH 69/US 59 North connector ramp to US 59 northbound frontage road.

FM-762 in Fort Bend County

Eastbound and westbound at IH-69 in Richmond/Rosenberg. Total Closure. Closed overnight from 9:00 PM, Friday, May 3 to 5:00 AM, Saturday, May 4. FM 762 eastbound motorist: Detour to US 59 southbound frontage road. Then travel US 59 southbound frontage road to Reading Road (U-turn at signalized intersection). Then travel US 59 NBFR to FM 762 connector ramp back to FM 762. FM 762 westbound motorists: Detour to US 59 northbound frontage road. Then travel northbound frontage road to Williams Way (U-turn). Travel US 59 SBFR and exit FM 762 connector. Then travel connector ramp to FM 762.

IH-69 in Fort Bend County

Northbound Exit Ramp to Williams Way in Richmond. Total closure. Closed on Thursday, May 2 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. US 59 IH 69. Motorists with Williams Way destinations: Exit SH 99/Grand Parkway, travel northbound frontage road to SH 99, then U-Turn to US 59/ IH69 southbound frontage road to Williams Way intersection.

FM-762 @I-69

Closed on Monday, April 22 from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Eastbound and westbound on IH-69 in Richmond/Rosenberg. 2 alternate lanes.

FM-762 in Fort Bend County

Closed daily from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Wednesday, April 17 to Thursday, April 18. Eastbound and Westbound at IH-69 in Richmond/Rosenberg. 2 alternate lanes.

Reading Road @ US-59 North

Westbound at US 59 Northbound frontage road in Rosenberg. 1 inside lane. Closed on Monday, April 15 from 9:00 AM to 3:30 PM.

IH-69 in Fort Bend County

Northbound Frontage Road at Reading Rd in Rosenberg. Total Closure. Closed continuously from 8:00 PM, Saturday, April 13 to 6:00 AM, Sunday, April 14. Motorists with IH 69 / US 59 North Destinations will be detoured to Reading Rd east to FM 2977. Turn left on FM 2977, travel to FM 762. Turn left on FM 762, then utilize IH 69 / US 59 North connector ramp to US northbound frontage road.

Upcoming IH-69 / US-59 Closures

On Monday, April 8th, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, one inside lane northbound from Spur 10 to Cottonwood Church Road will be closed.

Daily, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, excluding Sundays, beginning Monday, April 8th and ending Saturday, April 20th, one inside lane northbound from Kroesche Road to SH-36 will be closed.

Spur 10 and US-59

William Brothers Construction is closing the Spur 10 Bridge at US-59 on Friday, April 5th at 8:30 PM until Sunday, April 7th at 8:00 AM.

The detour is, if on Spur 10  (Patton), take US-59 southbound to Islieb Road, use U-turn to US-59 northbound, to Spur 10.

If on Spur 10 ( Hartledge), take US-59 northbound, to SH-36, then U-turn to US-59 southbound, to Spur 10.

William Brothers will also close US-59 southbound and northbound mainlanes at Spur 10 on Friday, April 5th, from 9:00 PM until Saturday, April 6th, at 5:00 AM.  The detour is traffic will exit to Spur-10 and stay on the frontage road through the intersection and right back up on the entrance ramp.

William Brothers is pouring the new section of the Spur 10 Bridge.

FM-762 in Fort Bend County

On Tuesday, April 2nd, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, and again on Wednesday, April 3rd, from 9:00 PM to 5:00 AM, IH-69 / US-59, eastbound and westbound, will be completely closed.

Eastbound motorists detour to US-59 southbound frontage road, travel the US-59 frontage road to Reading Road, U-Turn at the signalized intersection, then travel US-59 northbound frontage road to FM-762 connector ramp back to FM-762.

Westbound motorists detour to the US-59 northbound frontage road, travel the US-59 northbound frontage road to Williams Way Boulevard, U-Turn at the signalized intersection, then travel US-59 southbound frontage road and exit the FM-762 connector ramp back to FM-762.

Spur 529 (Bamore to US-90A) 1-Year Closure

Beginning March 25th, at 9:00 AM, Spur 529 between Bamore Road and the intersection of SH-36 / US-90 Alternate / Spur 529, will be closed for 1 year.  This closure is necessary for the construction of a new road.

Fairgrounds Road Bridge Demolition / Reconstruction

The Fairgrounds Road Bridge is slated for demolition on Monday, March 4th, or, if weather necessitates, Monday, March 11th.  Reconstruction schedule will commence immediately and is anticipated to take upwards of 4 months.  Please be aware of the posted detour using SH-36.

Bryan Road and Spacek Road Traffic Switch

The switch from driving on old asphalt to driving on the new concrete on Bryan Road occurred on Tuesday, February 26th. Motorists may now travel in both directions on Bryan Road.  Traffic also switched from driving on old asphalt to driving on the new concrete on Spacek Road.  Contract work continues on the remaining improvements to Bryan and Spacek Roads.

Kroesch Road bridge closure:

November 27, 2017: The Kroesch Road bridge is scheduled to close November 27, 2017 – 2019. This will allow for the new I-69 expansion to be built.
