Arrest Made in Indecent Exposure Case Involving School Children

exposure-arrestLast week, the Rosenberg Police Department released information that a subject was allegedly exposing himself to school children who were on their way to school. Click here for last week’s press release. Early morning on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, Rosenberg Police arrested an individual believed to be responsible for these incidents.

On Tuesday morning, an officer was patrolling in the area where the suspect had been seen. The officer noticed a vehicle which matched the description given by the victims. The officer stopped the vehicle for a minor traffic offense and contacted the driver.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Marlon Alvarez (34 years old) of Houston. Alvarez was initially arrested for minor traffic violations and taken to the Rosenberg Police Department. The officer notified Detectives that Alvarez and his vehicle matched the description given by the victims.

Detectives interviewed Alvarez at the Police Department where he admitted to the commission of several acts of indecency involving children on their way to school. Detectives obtained a warrant of arrest for Alvarez for the charge of Indecency with a Child by Exposure, a 3rd Degree Felony, with a bond of $75,000. Additional charges against Alvarez may be added pending further investigation.
