The total approximate cost for the station is $2.75 million. Construction project team members include project architect, BRW; and project contractor, LDF Construction. The site was constructed above building standards to withstand hurricane force winds and storms in order to help ensure operations during weather-related public safety emergencies. It includes an approximately 8,000 square-foot facility with dual apparatus bays, sleeping quarters and associated space for six, an exercise room and full kitchen for four shifts, as well as a rainwater harvesting system to handle site irrigation needs.
