Head’s up Rosenberg! We have a recycling problem to fix ASAP!
City Staff recently met with officials from Republic Services & were informed that due to improper recycling methods, Rosenberg is currently in jeopardy of losing the recycling program completely. Republic is tentatively scheduled to discuss this issue at the August 27th City Council Workshop Meeting, so we need to make a change & quick!
Did you know, one household that improperly recycles contaminates the entire truck load of recyclables which then must be discarded as regular solid waste?
Together we can make a difference in the future of Rosenberg’s recycling program! Read below for helpful tips and tricks to ensure you are recycling right.
PLEASE NOTE: If you were issued a recycle bin or informational flyers from Republic Services prior to March 2018, your list will be outdated. Republic Services no longer allows glass or aluminium foil as a recyclable material.
