Downtown Restoration and Beautification
The story of downtown Rosenberg is a story of buildings restored and public spaces beautified. Many different parties have had important parts to play in the remarkable transformation of our downtown district. In many cases, local building owners and property owners have restored their buildings and converted their vacant lots into beautiful parks. In other cases, downtown merchants have worked to decorate and beautify their storefronts. Also, the Rosenberg Main Street Program has created and administered matching grant programs to help offset the costs of such improvements. In addition, the City of Rosenberg recently developed a new parking lot and restored sections of sidewalks to maintain a pedestrian-friendly and auto-friendly downtown environment.
Downtown Rosenberg is blessed to have a deep reservoir of talented committed downtown stakeholders – Downtown merchants and property owners, for example, work hard to make our little historic district a vibrant and beautiful place to live, work and play. Downtown employees also volunteer on many community projects, and other people often get involved too, because our downtown belongs to the entire community.
