Lieutenant Shayne Macha

Lieutenant Shayne Macha has served the City of Rosenberg since 2009. Lieutenant Macha began his career by serving the Patrol Division for seven years, in such capacities as Patrol Officer, Field Training Officer, K9 Officer and SWAT Operator. Lieutenant Macha transitioned to the Criminal Investigations Division in 2015, serving as a Property Crimes Detective, Detective Sergeant and ultimately Investigations Lieutenant. In 2021, Lieutenant Macha transitioned to the Operations Division, focusing efforts on proactive criminal investigations, community relations, hiring, recruiting, special event planning, emergency preparedness and federal task force cooperatives. Additionally, Lieutenant Macha served as the Rosenberg Police Department Team Leader assigned to the Fort Bend Regional SWAT Team.

Lieutenant Macha currently commands the Patrol Division which consists of uniformed Police service and the initial response to law enforcement related incidents occurring within the City of Rosenberg.

Lieutenant Macha attended Sam Houston State University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice.  Lieutenant Macha currently holds a Master Peace Officer Certificate with TCOLE.
