Abandoned or Unclaimed Property
The Rosenberg Police Department Evidence and Property Room, in accordance with Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Article 18.17 as it relates to the Disposition of Abandoned or Unclaimed Property, is hereby giving notice to the public of the listed items.
If the owner does not claim this property before the 90th day after the date of this notice, the property will be disposed of in a manner as described in Article 18.17.
Proof of Ownership Required
For found property, bicycles, and stolen recovered property, claimant may provide proof of ownership in any of the following ways:
· Verify the serial number of the item.
· Present a dated receipt of purchase of the item.
· Present a prior stolen/lost property report with a police agency for the item.
· Show a photograph with him/herself and the item in it.
· Describe unique characteristics of the item.
· Provide an access code or combination to unlock the item.
Claimant must also present a valid driver’s license or state issued photo ID card.

If your property is not on this list and related to an active Criminal Investigation, please reach out to the Detective assigned to your case to check if the property is eligible for release. If you property is not evidence in a criminal investigation and is not on the list, it is likely the police department does not have possession of your item.
